What’s Inside EPCOT?

EPCOT in Disney World Orlando is divided into four sections:

World Celebration – Located at the main entrance, this section is dominated by Spaceship Earth, which takes you through the communication history of humans from the cave era till today and then takes you into the future, letting you use your creativity and aspirations to design it. Spaceship Earth is the signature attraction of EPCOT.
World Discovery – Located on the left of the World Celebration, the World Discovery land within EPCOT is the place for sci-fi enthusiasts. It is where your dreams of otherworldly adventures come to life. World Discovery allows you to ride through space with the Guardians of the Galaxy, be a part of NASA’s Mission SPACE, and drive a futuristic vehicle to test (Test Track).
World Nature – Learn more about the world you live in and explore nature in a fun way. Know the story of Earth (Awesome Planet), take a quick flight across the globe (Soarin’ Around the World), see the advanced techniques being used to grow food (Living with the Land), and explore the seas with Nemo (The Seas with Nemo & Friends), Dory, Crush (Turtle Talk with Crush), and thousands of other (real) sea creatures (SeaBase Aquarium).
World Showcase – This EPCOT neighborhood transports you into a one-of-a-kind multi-cultural world, giving you the unique opportunity to explore eleven countries and experience their culture and food in one place, along with some fictional worlds. Starting counter-clockwise, the pavilions you will find here are Canada, the UK, France, Morocco, Japan, the US, Italy, Germany, China, Norway, and Mexico.

How Many Rides Does EPCOT Have?

There are more attractions than rides at EPCOT. But since Disney promises something for everyone at all its theme parks, there are eleven rides for those wanting to add some adventure to their EPCOT visit. These include:

Tips to Make the Most of Your EPCOT Visit

EPCOT sprawls over 300 acres and, as we discussed, encompasses four distinct lands with multiple attractions and rides in each, so there’s a lot to experience, explore, and take in. Here are some tips to do it the best way:- Join the virtual queue for the guardians of the galaxies before you leave for the park through the My Disney Experience App. The queue opens at 7 am every day and fills up very fast, so make sure you’re up and ready on time.

If you miss the morning virtual queue, you can join the 1 pm queue inside the park while exploring other attractions. But remember, you have to reach the ride within one hour of being called (you will get a notification).
If you’re not staying at Disney Resort, you can get early access to EPCOT by making a breakfast reservation at any of the onsite restaurants. Our recommendation? Choose a place in the Norway Pavilion of the World Showcase so you can cover this section of the park before others (more on it below).
Most people cover the EPCOT lands from front to back. Do it the other way to skip the rush.
For this, you can skip the main entrance and use the International Gateway by taking a bus to any of the resorts that this entrance is reserved for.
Cover the World Showcase earlier in the day. Most people come to this part of the park in the afternoon so that they can skip big crowds. Within World Showcase, visit the pavilions in order of preference, covering the ones you do not want to miss first. We suggest doing Norway first for Frozen Ever After, one of the most popular rides at EPCOT.
Once you are done with Norway, head back to Canada and continue your journey around the World Showcase anti-clockwise.
Disney Genie+ can give you quick access to a number of EPCOT rides and attractions. If budget isn’t an issue, you may consider getting it to save time. In EPCOT, Genie+ lets you skip long queues for:

If you cannot get into the virtual queue for Guardians of the Galaxy, you can buy a separate Lightning Lane pass for the ride.
Don’t miss the EPCOT Forever fireworks held every night. Head to the World Showcase lagoon to see the most amazing and unique fireworks of your life.
You can get free water from any of the fountains, quick-service restaurants, or walk-up counters across the Disney World Resort.
You can also get free drinks in EPCOT at Club Cool. There are drink stations for sampling, but you can always fill your own large cup.
Use the Single Rider Lane to reduce wait time on Test Track.
